Car bomb kills two Turkish soldiers, almost 50 People Injured


A car bomb exploded at a military post in the province of Diyarbakir, Turkey is predominantly Kurdish. Two Turkish soldiers were killed and nearly 50 people were injured in the bomb attack.

Turkish authorities outlawed group called the Kurds, the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) as the mastermind of bomb attacks on Monday (11/4) evening local time. In recent months, hundreds of members of the Turkish security forces were killed in attacks Kurdish militants are increasing.

According to Turkish security sources as reported by news agency AFP on Tuesday (04/12/2016), a bomb attack targeting a military post in the district of Hani, Diyarbakir province also wounded 46 people, including eight civilians. The death toll rose to two after one of the wounded soldiers, died in the hospital.

After the bombing, Turkish security forces immediately launched a search operation to arrest those responsible for the bomb blast.

Turkish authorities have launched operations against PKK militants after the end of the ceasefire during the last two years in 2015. PKK has been waging an insurgency against the Turkish government for more than three decades. More than 40 thousand people have been killed since the PKK began to take up arms in 1984.

This heats up the conflict that has also been claimed in the heart of Turkey, with two bomb attacks that killed dozens of people in the capital Ankara. Kurdish rebel group has claimed the bomb attacks.
