Valentino Rossi was hampered to win Spanish MotoGP race this season. Meanwhile, Movistar Yamaha teammate, Jorge Lorenzo, finished as runner-up and Marc Marquez in the third position.
In the race held at the Jerez circuit on Sunday (04/24/2016) night, Rossi, who holds the pole position immediately step on the gas since the first lap and could not be overtaken by Lorenzo.
Meanwhile, Lorenzo had preoccupied by Marquez, who continue to pursue the second position. However, after the 15th lap, Lorenzo was able to secure that position until the end of the race and make Marquez had to settle for finishing in third position.
Sequential finishing in the top five was Dani Pedrosa in fourth position and Aleix Espargaro was fifth. Completing the top 10 there was Maverick Vinales, Andrea Iannone, Pol Espargaro, Eugene Laverty, and Hector Barbera.
With the first victory this season, Rossi is in third position while the rider standings with 58 points and Lorenzo in second position with 65 points. Marquez still firmly on top with 82 points from four series of passes.
