Pakistan's military chief General of the Lima Fire Corruption


Pakistan army chief, General Raheel Sharif, fired five senior officers or generals because they were involved in corruption cases.

The main Pakistani daily, Dawn, Friday (22/04/2016), reported the dismissal of high-ranking officials was a surprising move because almost never done before.
Five high-ranking officer was fired that one lieutenant general or a three-star officer, a major general (two stars), and three brigadier general (one star). In addition, a mid-ranking officer colonel was also fired.
Previously also circulated news that Sharif has sacked 12 people. However, sources told Dawn, the news was still a speculation.
Five officers and one middle-ranking officers were fired because they were involved in corruption cases. Dismissal was made after internal military investigation led for one year
Adjunct General Zubair Mahmood Hayat on the orders of the commander. The dismissal of high-ranking officers are the first in the history of the Pakistani military.

All the officers were dismissed had reported serving in the Frontier Corps (FC) in Balochistan, Pakistan's southwest.
They were charged with corruption during the task along with paramilitary forces. "Everything was sacked for corruption," said the source from the military intelligence.
"Several others are fired junior commission officer who works with people who have mentioned earlier," he added.
