Samsung's degree student technology competition for Indonesia


Young people are the source of creative ideas are waiting to be realized. Recognizing this, Samsung held a competition of technological innovation by targeting participants from Indonesia millenial generation, especially students.


Named IdeAction, Samsung competition invites young people give ideas related to the use of technology. The event is expected to produce fresh ideas regarding the use of technology in facilitating daily activities.

"Samsung IdeAction will encourage more andak young to produce their creative ideas in the field of technology and we will help them to mewudjudkannya by combining ideas with action," said Marketing Director of IT and Mobile Samsung Electronics Indonesia Vebbyna Kaunang in a written statement received KompasTekno Wednesday (04/05/2016).


In the implementation of IdeAction, Samsung took 12 universities from 6 cities in Indonesia, including the University of Indonesia, Universitas Bina Nusantara, Bandung Institute of Technology, Gadjah Mada University, Airlangga University, Brawijaya University, and the University of Diponegoro.


The deadline for submission of proposals take place from May 16th 2016 to Unpar and IPB hinggga May 26, 2016 to BINUS and UGM.


Of the proposals in question will be selected seven finalists. Of that amount, the jury consisting of researchers Listruk Power and Mechatronics LIPI Abdul Hapid, creative marketers OMG Creative Consulting, and CEO DailySocial Rama Mamuaya will select three winners.


The first winner gets the opportunity to follow Edu Trip to South Korea. Provided the gift of tuition fees amounting to USD 100 million and support facilities for the university winner with a value of Rp 100 million.
