Residents in South Nias, North Sumatra quake felt twice today. The incident had caused panic citizens. However, this morning the activities of people there had returned to normal.
"The earthquake was hard, when the event (earthquake) here rain. The objects in the house bergoyangan. A number of residents in the district of Teluk Dalam, South Nias had time to panic," said Chief BPBDs South Nias, Ridwan when contacted by AFP on Sunday (17 / 4/2016).
Ridwan said that so far he has not received information about damage and casualties related to this earthquake.
"Activities of residents have returned to normal even panicked," he continued.
As is known, the first quake occurred at around 1:08 pm with the strength of 5.0 on the Richter Scale (SR). After that, a second quake with a strength of 5.1 magnitude occurred at 4:09 pm. Previously, BMKG reported that no potential tsunami earthquake.
