Midnight snack is not fattening
When cravings come in one or two hours before bedtime, there are some things to consider: First, studies linking eating late at night with the potential for weight gain.
One study found that eating before bed can make your sleep more restless, and makes you tired and bingeing the next day.
Also, eating late at night tend to be associated with stress, which leads to the desire to eat high-calorie fats in search of comfort.
On the other hand, ignoring hunger is also not good. The quality of your sleep will be disturbed, and you will feel tired and hungry in the morning. This can cause you to overeat at the next day.
The solution: Eat one of these low-calorie foods. Foods below, will make a full stomach, so you sleep better without making you wake up feeling nauseous and bloated the next day, a nutritionist's advice diPhiladelphia Janet Brill, Ph.D., R.D., author of Blood Pressure Down.
STIK CHEESE
One serving of this snack contains enough protein and fat, to make you feel full.One pack cheese sticks contains about 80 calories. The cheese is also rich in amino acid tryptophan, which can help make you sleepy, Brill said.
CEREAL BOWL
Whole grain cereals are rich in complex carbohydrates with 200 calories or less permangkuknya, Brill said. Pour a little milk to obtain additional effects of tryptophan and protein.
NO FAT GREEK YOGURT
For around 100 to 150 calories, you will get a relaxing effect of tryptophan from dairy, and protein glut, said Brill.Plus, yogurt can help soothe your stomach, so you tend to avoid the risk of waking up with heartburn or indigestion, and instead be able to sleep more soundly.
APPLES AND JAM NUT spoonful
Apples have a lot of fiber filling. "The protein in peanut or almond butter also makes your stomach feel full without verat or too full," said Brill.
CHOCOLATE PUDDING CUP WITHOUT
cup of non-fat chocolate pudding contains about 90 calories. It tastes good certainly you prefer.
CARROT BABY
Very nutritious, crunchy, sweet and rich in fiber so that stomach filled in a long time, put you to sleep soundly.
A BANANA
