TNI Planning to Build Full Strength in Morotai, so the 'Island of the carrier'


TNI chief Gen. Gatot Nurmantyo visited Morotai Island in Maluku. Gatot see Morotai and outer islands in order to strengthen the military presence in the region.

In a press release Puspen TNI, Wednesday (20/04/2016), which will be conducted by the military is keeping a variety of possible threats coming. And the face of the threat, no need to make aircraft carriers but the existing islands, used as the carrier.
 The findings of this is that according to the TNI commander will be an evaluation to increase the strength in the border area. TNI will increase the number and capabilities of personnel in the border area. Facilities and infrastructure will also be added. Morotai, Commander also inspected the air base and the former Pier Leo Wattimena Allied warships during World War II.
