PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) will give appreciation to the eight best teachers who have made use of Information & Communication Technology (ICT) in teaching and learning by conducting the program "My Teacher My Hero". The program is held in commemoration of National Education Day as well as the implementation of the program "SOE Present to the State."
My Teacher My Hero Program is part of the Indonesia Digital Learning (IDL), an ICT training to improve the competence of teachers in ICT. TelkomGroup CEO, Alex J. Sinaga said that the program My Teacher My Hero is part of Telkom's efforts in educating society towards a digital society or the digital society.
"The development of digital technologies and their use by the wider community has become Telkom's concern. As SOE at the forefront of technological development in Indonesia, Telkom is proper digital society actively encourages the formation of Indonesia," said Alex J. Sinaga.
From about 2400 participants screened IDL eight best teachers to receive awards My Teacher My Hero. IDL itself this year was held in eight cities in Indonesia. Among these are Yogyakarta, Bandung, Surabaya, Medan, Balikpapan, Makassar, Jayapura and Jakarta. In addition to obtaining the award, the winners also included in the benchmark use of ICT in teaching and learning in Australia.
Alex J. Sinaga said through various corporate social responsibility programs that focus on developing digital society Indonesia, Telkomberharap able to provide benefits broadly to improving the competence and global competitiveness of the nation so that they can compete in the international arena.
