Until 2020, targeting 200 Accor hotels in Indonesia
Network of international hotel operators, Accor Hotels set a target of 200 hotel management in Indonesia until 2020.
This is in line with the announcement that Accor already manages 100 hotels in Indonesia, in December 2015 ago. Since then, Accor hotels already add a few more.
"Of course it reflects our confidence toward Indonesia. We have also cooperated with the Ministry of Tourism to develop tourism in terms of his hotel," said Vice President of Development and Executive Director, Indonesia and Malaysia, Accor Hotels, Rio Kondo when the event Hospitality Investment Conference Indonesia (HICI), at the Raffles Hotel, Jakarta, Thursday (28/04/2016).
Rio said the business development Accor is also healthy. It is shown from the many owners of new hotels were asking for Accor to become the operator.
Despite the decline in the growth of the hotel business in 2015, but Rio saw a pretty good indication of this year.
He said the hospitality business also depends on the overall economic Yag yesterday had decreased.
However, the hotel business in Indonesia still has the potential to grow even more, given the presence of 100 hotels Accor already operates.
"Compared to Australia, there are still many areas of Indonesia that has potential," said Rio.
He mentioned, one of the open area is the eastern part of Indonesia. Based on this potential, Rio has talked about it several times along with the government on infrastructure and utilities.
According to him, infrastructure is one of the most widely awaited by the perpetrators of hospitality, because the infrastructure has a positive impact for the long term.
